CASTELLANA PROPERTIES BUYS HABANERAS SHOPPING CENTER IN ALICANTE FOR €80.6M

Castellana Properties, a Spanish socimi dedicated to the acquisition, management and renewal of real estate assets in the retail sector, has closed the acquisition of Habaneras Shopping Center, located in Orihuela Costa (Alicante), for the value of €80.6 million.

Previously owned by Heref Habaneras socimi, a company listed on MAB, the Habaneras Shopping Center has a commercial area for lease of 24,158 m2, spread over 3 floors and 70 stores.

To this day, the Habaneras Shopping Center has 63 tenants and an occupancy rate of 94%. The brands that occupy more space are Aki, Forum Sport, Zara, C&A and H&M, which in total use 11,053 m2, the equivalent to almost 46% of the total commercial area for lease. Other fashion brands of reference for consumers are Pull&Bear, Bershka, Stradivarius and Massimo Dutti, all belonging to the Inditex Group. In addition, the center has 820 parking spaces.

Alfonso Brunet, CEO of Castellana Properties, said: “Last year, Castellana Properties acquired 11 retail parks in Spain worth approximately €300 million, becoming a strategic player in the real estate sector and, mainly, in the retail sector.” In reference to the company’s business strategy, Brunet said that “the value of this transaction is in the capacity of this new asset to generate more and more income for investors, in a predictable and sustainable manner. Now it is our responsibility to guarantee an experience at the highest level for our tenants and their customers.”
